Mark your calendars: Lifetime has scheduled Drop Dead Diva’s 13-episode fourth season return for Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. The premiere episode brings with it a few new faces, which include E! reality star Kim Kardashian’s debut.

Drop Dead Diva has always featured plenty of interesting guest stars and the upcoming season is no different. Starting with the premiere episode, Kardashian plays a recurring role as famous relationship expert, Nikki LePree. Singer Brandy Norwood and Valerie Harper will also reprise their roles on the series along with new season four guest stars including Serena Williams, John Ratzenberger, Patty Duke, Megyn Price, Emily Rutherford and Jake T. Austin.

The stars of the television series “Drop Dead Diva” took time out of filming an episode of the show in Senoia to be on hand for the dedication of the show’s bronze plaque in Senoia’s sidewalk walk of fame.

The Senoia Downtown Development Authority has placed plaques in city sidewalks representing the movies and TV series filmed in the Senoia area.

“Drop Dead Diva,” which is in its fourth season, was filming in downtown Senoia at Founder’s restaurant.

The show is actually set in Los Angeles, so the downtown streets were dressed up with some artificial palm trees to help transform the small Southern town into the streets of LA.

Filming for the first season of the show, which appears on Lifetime and is about a shallow model who dies and comes back as a brilliant plus-sized attorney, began in the spring of 2009, around Senoia, Peachtree City, and Newnan.

On Friday, plenty of spectators were in downtown Senoia to watch the filming.

On hand for the dedication were the show’s lead actress, Brooke Elliott, who plays Jane Bingum /Deb Dobkins; Lex Medlin, who plays Judge Owen French; and Jackson Hurst, who plays Grayson Kent.

“The sidewalk plaque is a small token of our appreciation that signifies the success of the TV series Drop Dead Diva,” said Jeff Fisher, Senoia city councilman and the city’s representative on the Downtown Development Authority.

“It is with great honor and appreciation that we have been given this opportunity to share in the experience that has made this an effective and successful partnership,” he said.

“We’re very happy to have them there. We’re glad they chose Senoia,” said City Councilman Maurice Grover. “It’s a huge enhancement to the special little town we have here.”

The plaques representing the various movies and TV shows filmed in the city are “a big draw for people that come to town,” said Gail Downs of the Senoia DDA. “It’s one of the things they’re interested in, they want to see which movies” were filmed in the town, she said. “We’re hoping to dedicate more.”

“It’s kind of like our Grauman’s Chinese Theatre,” she said.

“To me, it’s just exciting,” Downs said. “It’s good for the town, it’s good for the businesses.

Academy Award winner and stage actress Patty Duke has signed on to guest star on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,” according to TVGuide.com.

Duke, who will appear in the upcoming fourth season of the comedy series, will play Rita O’Reily, a career floor-greeter who is fired after heroically stopping a shoplifter.

Also set to guest star on the fourth season, which will begin this summer, are Megyn Price and Emily Rutherford. Tony Award nominee Valerie Harper (Looped) will return to “Drop Dead Diva” in the role of Judge Leslie Singer.

“Drop Dead Diva” centers on Jane (Brooke Elliott), a brilliant, plus-size attorney whose body was taken over by the spirit of Deb, “a shallow model-in-training.”

Duke has been seen on Broadway in The Miracle Worker, Isle of Children and Oklahoma!. The actress re-created her performance as Helen Keller in the film version of “The Miracle Worker,” earning the 1963 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
